Had the most horrible lodging experience in my life here a couple years ago. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are fine. Bed was harder than I prefer, but it worked for the night.
Would not recommend staying here, overpriced for what they have to offer, very tiny rooms, carpets were filthy, air conditioner did not blow out cold air, thank God it was not very hot out, room smelled musty, overall this hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. The owner of the motel hoovered around during people eating the continental breakfast, would not let you make your own waffles, actually yelled at a young child for taking too much fruit. We went with other people and their room the air conditioner was ready to fall out of the wall.
Rooms are big. AC works great. Normal continental breakfast (toast, cereal, Belgium waffles, etc). Friendly staff. Clean.
Most friendly owners of any place I've stayed, and I have stayed in a lot of places. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Breakfast wasn't much, but I didn't come for the food. Perkins right across the street. It's where I'll stay next time I'm in Northfield.
