So I wanted to share my experience hoping to help some other parents out there. Dr. Kram is THE best doctor ( of any kind) I have ever encountered. Our last pediatrician left me discouraged and worried all the time. Dr. Kram has great communication skills and she is very knowledgeable. I’m a first time mom and I appreciate her approach to care. She tells me what I need to know but she doesn’t try to scare or worry me. I can not recommend her enough, and I’m so happy we found her!
Everyone at this clinic has gone out of their way to be kind to us. I am so impressed with everyone at Allina Northfield. Thank you so much.
Careful what you say to Dr. Votel at a physical. He will charge for an office visit. Went in for routine physical, and he had done this to me last time, so I did not discuss any existing conditions, as that is why I got charged before. He asks me if there was anything else, and I mistakenly said something about a new rash, as I figured he would have said something anyway during my physical, and he quickly wrote up a prescription for it, (which I never got because I didn't want it), and charged me for an office visit again. Talked to billing and coding, and basically got, "Too bad, so sad." This kind of thing is what's wrong with our medical system.
The PA obviously did not prepare for our meeting. She didn't even take the time to look up what I told her the problem was, insect bites. "Oh, what is that?" So she came in cold, no preparation, had no suggestions, just looked at me confused. She was fine with charging over $150 to listen to me tell her what I read online and agree with it. She didn't even offer antihistamine or cold press and never even got close to me to look at my hurt leg. Avoid at all costs.
Disappointed with Allina yet again, this time with the mental health clinic. Providers should not back out on their word if you need a letter for work/housing/etc. The RN treated me like I had no clue what I was talking about and had an attitude with me. A big part of what I need is to be able to contact my providers outside of the clinic, but with allina, you need to make an appointment for literally anything and everything. Have not been impressed with their Lab and Imaging department either. Honestly, save yourself the future headache and go to a better clinic. I have given them multiple chances, but I will be seeking care elsewhere from this point on.
